4647 E Palais Pl, up in the Summit, was listed for sale in 1999 for $2,500,000. And after 2 years and no buyers, they didn’t go the usual route, heck no. They upped the price to $3,200,000. Brash, novel, exudes confidence.
And they held out for 4 more years, but, oddly enough, still no takers at $3.2. So they stopped pussy footing around, put the petal to the metal and jacked it up to $4,550,000. off the charts, totally brilliant. That was 2006.
This is 2009 and it's still for sale. Now for $2,949,000.
And to make matters worse, this house was chosen as the Tucson Museum of Art Designer Showhouse for 2005. What's the world coming to.
Martha, I know that you didn't have a hand in the earlier pricing strategy - that was many moons and a few agents ago.
Nevertheless, you gotta admit, it's pretty darn amusing.

John: I am the current agent. Don't blame me for previous pricing. My price is $500,000 under last price and much more in line with homes of this size and amenities. Also, as far as being the showcase home, this is a blessing and a curse. Some great stuff and some just fugly. That's why the owners redid the fugly and kept the good. I invite you to come for a tour and then write more about this home.
